I love to Journal! I love being able to reflect on my day, month and FAMILY, and all the blessings God has given to us.
I find that I am truly the most happy when I allow myself to take time to think and reflect on all that we have and to priorities what is important. It is so easy to get so busy in our days that we find ourselves running from one place to the next and not even giving a thought to if all our many things to do are necessary or not and how it lines up with our family priorities, goals and family values.
The past few years have been a bit overly busy for Jeff and I. It seems like a monthly battle (sometimes daily) trying to gain balance and boundaries in our lives. Trying to make the best choices for our family and our crazy schedule. You know how is goes, When you are on track and doing what you feel is within your priories life feels great. You seem to have the time to enjoy your family. Somehow as soon as you take on that extra thing (that we probably did not pray about) the curve balls come and we are all of a sudden, unorganized, rushing around, and not allowing ourselves to even have a moment to think, truly pray, reflect and be thankful.
The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 We need to pray in everything, about everything. How many big or even small decisions go by each day where we do not pray and ask God for direction? Sadly more that I would like to admin. But I know that if I truly commit to pray in everything and to have a thankful heart then my daily life as a mom, a wife, a homeschool teacher, a photographer, daughter, sister, and even a friend will gain better direction and be more joyful.
So again for me this happy place of peace and daily understanding comes when I journal, reflect and pray. Without it I seem to be a bit off track.
So this is why I blog. 🙂
