Countdown to Valentine’s day – Heart shaped meat balls for dinner

So today we cooked spaghetti and meatballs but instead of rolling the meat into balls we shaped them into hearts using a cookie cutter. The kids had fun with this. We used ground turkey instead of ground beef because the turkey seems to shrink less.

We also made homemade sauce. It was delicious! it was also a bit time consuming and expensive, but good….

3-D photo Valentine’s craft

Today the kids and I had fun designing their  3-D Valentines Day cards.  I took the photo. I kinda wish I got out all the lights but I was on a time crunch. Anyways we took the photo. Then I showed Zach how to add some Photoshop brush art to the image. He loved the mini computer lesson.

Printed them, clued them to some colored card-stock and then slit lines where the lollipop needed to be feed through. It was as easy as that!!!
